What I can do for you

With over a decade of experience as a psychiatric nurse in both in-patient and community settings, I have seen firsthand the profound impact of life stressors on individuals and families. Supporting my husband in building our construction company has also given me insight into the unique pressures of entrepreneurship and staff management. My passion for Preventative Mental Health drives me to help small business owners and their teams develop the skills needed to improve well-being, job satisfaction, professional growth, and company culture through a personalized and collaborative approach.

Therapy

As an experienced psychiatric nurse and a master’s student in counselling, I offer both one-on-one and group therapy sessions tailored to meet individual needs. With training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), I provide evidence-based approaches to support mental health and personal growth.

What Is Psychological Safety?

Psychological Safety (PHS) fosters performance, innovation, creativity, resilience, learning, and critical thinking by allowing team members to feel valued, safe to raise concerns, and encouraged to think independently.

In environments where employees do not feel safe, they are less likely to report errors or safety concerns, increasing the risk of injury and negative outcomes.

Psychological safety is especially important in work environments where employees are required to use their discretion.

Research has shown that a lack of psychological safety can lead to negative impacts on employee well-being, including stress, burnout, and turnover, as well as reduced organizational performance.

“For decades, Canadian employers have been required by law to protect employees’ physical safety and health in the workplace. But for the first time in Canadian history, employers are under pressure of an emerging legal duty to create and maintain not only a physically safe workplace, but also a psychologically safe work environment.”
